Borosilicate glass can be divided into the following components according to its composition.
1, low alkali borosilicate glass: refers to the composition of SiO2-B2O3-R2O, R2O, SiO2 with low high glass, small linear expansion coefficient, dispersion, good chemical stability, high thermal stability, good insulation, as the glass before (such as Pyrex), heat-resistant cookware, ampoule glass, neutral glass, electric vacuum glass, optical LCD, glass substrate, solar panels and solar collector.
2, alkaline earth borosilicate glass: refers to the composition of SiO2-B2O3-RO, such as SiO2-B2O3-PbO components, preparation of optical glass, low temperature glaze making; SiO2-B2O3-PbO/ZnO components for crystalline powder solder, as a cathode ray tube (CRT) for sealing; SiO2-B2O3-ZnO components for electronic devices, rectifier, passive aspect.
3, lanthanum borosilicate glass: SiO2-B2O3-La2O3-RmOn composition. For example, SiO2-B2O3-La2O3-CaO-ZnO-ZrO2 component has high refractive index, low dispersion, good chemical temperature and low permeability. It is used as optical glass.
4, rare earth doped borosilicate glass: SiO2-B2O3-RmOn based components, Pr, Nd doped laser glass, doping Au, Ag, Cu, CdS, nonlinear optical glass doped ZnS:Mn nanocrystalline luminescent glass.
